Temporary No Parking Application for Moving

 

If you are transporting your belongings in a storage container and would like to have it delivered to a public location in Philadelphia, you will need to complete the Temporary No Parking Application for Moving and submit it online.

The Streets Department Right of Way Unit requires a minimum of four (4) full business days of notice in order to process your request. Due to the volume of requests, the processing time may be more than 4 business days.

Once your application has been processed, a permit will be emailed to you. Be sure to check your spam and junk mail folders, in addition to your regular inbox.

It is highly recommended that you print out a copy of your permit and take it to the nearest Police District. They will give you a "Temporary No Parking" sign you can post for the move. You should post the signs a minimum of 24 hours ahead of time or as soon as possible after receiving your permit.


Pennsylvania Driver's License or Photo ID

 

All new residents with out-of-state non-commercial driver's licenses must obtain a Pennsylvania driver's license within 60 days of establishing Pennsylvania residency. To apply, you must appear in person at a Pennsylvania Driver License Centers. Individuals 10 years of age and above may also obtain a Pennsylvania photo ID at select locations.


Pennsylvania Title & Registration of Out-of-State Vehicle

 

All new residents are required to obtain Pennsylvania title and registration of their vehicle(s) within 20 days of establishing residency in Pennsylvania. Individuals are required to have a valid form of Pennsylvania identification in order to make application to title and register a vehicle in Pennsylvania.
